Kelsey is 4!

A week before Kelsey’s actual birthday, while we were still in Melaka, we had a simple celebration with dinner and ice cream cake from Baskin Robbin.

super happy with his birthday present – Lego Ferrari cars

My little boy turned 4 on Sunday.  Since we just came back from Malaysia, I asked MIL to get a birthday cake and we would have the celebration at her place. I thought she would just bake a simple cake and just be done with it.  I was so surprised to see a train cake.  Pretty impressive considering that she hardly does this kind of thing.

The birthday boy was happy that it was his day.  He got to open so many presents. He got his usual shy smile when we sang the birthday song.  I bought him a Fisher Price sing a long radio with microphone function, just the same as Malaika’s.  He has been asking for it.  I wanted to get it for Xmas but could not get a good bid in ebay.  So after Xmas, I managed to get a good price, well, at least that’s what I would like to think so.  I also got him a pistol with some gun powder.  He loves it.

I think it would be unfair to not have a simple celebration in the kindergarten now that we would not have a party for him at home.  So I baked him a Mickey mouse cake. Next year, we will let him have a birthday party.

My boy is growing up quick.  Nevertheless he is still a mummy boy.
